WOMEN SHELTERS

One can only imagine the numerous problems that you can find in our Women Shelters. We at Sarge’s Café want to make sure food for them and their children isn’t one of them.

When women need support and are attempting to escape from violent and unsafe situations in their life, a great place to go would be to women's shelters. These women's shelters provide a safe place for women during their time of need and it gives them a refuge and the support that they need. It can sometime be very hard for a woman to leave their current situation because often times they feel like there is no one out there who will help them and no where they can run to. The women's shelters are there for this exact reason.

Not only does it provide support and a place to stay but there are also other services offered at women's shelters. They sometimes also serve as a place for women to organize for equality and sometimes they even partner with domestic violence coalitions to accomplish this.

In a small way Sarge’s Café are these women that they are not alone during this tough time in thier life's.
